Walled Garden Extension

Biggleswade, Bedfordshire / Completed March 2021

A contemporary side extension to a semi-detached home.

Our proposals have inserted a splayed and garden-facing living space attached to the existing dwelling, infilling an awkward and under-used piece of the existing garden.

This new space is finished externally in a matching buff brickwork, stack-bonded to provide a subtle contrast between the old and the new. A large slim-framed window provides generous views over the rear garden. Modern windows and bi-folding doors are also inserted into the ground floor openings to create a coherent rear elevation to the ground floor. Internal knock-throughs and alterations have created a large open plan kitchen/ living/ dining space at the centre of the home.
