This substantial project involved the design and delivery of a large new build family home on a tree-lined residential road in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. Set within an established neighbourhood, the house has been carefully designed to sit comfortably alongside its context, drawing inspiration from the area’s traditional architecture while providing a modern, highly functional family home.
Constructed in red brick with refined traditional detailing, the home blends timeless character with contemporary convenience. Generously proportioned living spaces are arranged to take full advantage of natural light and views into the garden, while the interior layout has been tailored to meet the needs of modern family life.
The result is a home that feels both familiar and fresh — rooted in local tradition yet thoughtfully reimagined for today’s contemporary living standards.
The practice was appointed to collaborate alongside a wider design team as part of a ‘design and build’ procurement route with the main contractor. This complex project was delivered on time and on budget.
